Circular Cross-Section Nitrile Butadiene Rubber O-rings, with a hardness of 70A and a temperature range of -4℉ (-20°C) to 212℉ (100 °C), are designed for sealing applications. They are circular and round in cross-section, providing a pressure and fluid seal between cylindrically shaped mating surfaces. These O-rings are commonly used in engines, faucets, flanges, valves, and cylinders.
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber O-rings have good mechanical properties and high wear resistance, along with resistance to petroleum oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, alcohol, mineral oil, and grease. However, they are vulnerable to acetone, ethers, esters, ozone, sunlight, and weathering. Therefore, they should not be used in ozone-generating electric motors, welding equipment, or applications exposed to UV light.
